Nice to meet you! My name's Anna, which I probably could have used as my screen name but in fact did not. Huh. Oh well. :)

You can call me Anna or Paraiba, I don't mind~.

Name: Anna
Age: 17
Birthday: October 2nd
Blood type: My father's an 'A', so it could be anything but 'B'.
Favorite food: Hamburger, buffalo (-carnivore-)
Least favorite food: Chicken if it has bones. D:
Best subject: Foreign Languages
Worst subject: Composition(good at it but... blargh)
Favorite Corda characters:Tsuchiura, Keiichi, and ... I want to say Kaji because I've read about him, but I haven't had any real experience with the manga or the 2nd game.
Least favorite Corda characters:Yunoki T_T

I'm an artist, musician, and lover of languages.
I'm a late intermediate Japanese student, but haven't had any real chance to practice it in conversation. I'm also interested in Mandarin, Korean, and Swedish (Asian, Asian, Asian, Scandinavian? anyone else sense an inconsistency? lol)

I've roleplayed since I was... eight? I used to roleplay on Neopet boards back then. XD (I entered a false birthday so that I could have access to the form, naughty, naughty child.)

I was so excited when I found this roleplay site for my favorite anime (which is not a terribly popular one), and even more excited when I found out that my favorite character (Tsuchiura) was free for claiming! Typed up my application in four-ish hours and posted it. Haven't been approved as of yet, but I'm crossing my fingers. ><;

Corda and I actually have a loving history. I'm sure there are people here who can say this too, but I can safely say that Corda gave me back my music.

I played piano for a year or so when I was six-seven, but my mother took my lack of desire to practice as me being to young for piano. She stopped my lessons.

I started again in 4th grade of my own will, but hated my teacher. My ambition to learn quickly died and I quit after a year.
But after that teacher I no longer had any real interest in learning the piano; I would sit down and plunk every once in a long while.

That was up until a year ago, when I discovered Corda.

How I discovered it was sort of... interesting. I had been watching an anime called "mermaid melody pichi pichi pitch" for whatever reason, and checked out a fan site on it. This person was a fan of the Harukanaru Toki no Naka de anime, which is a Neoromance game. Since Corda is also a neoromance game, it didn't take long to be led to the Corda anime.

I was inspired. I was on the piano constantly and improved at a rapid pace.
I took up the violin and raced through to book four of the Suzuki series within a year.

Corda changed my life I guess. XD

Despite not being very lucky with teachers or mothers(I love her anyway!), I've technically been playing piano my entire life. It's almost completely self taught though, so I'm not near as good as I would be had I had a teacher from the age of six.

Well, nothing can be done about that now.

Oh, and I've played Corda 1, watched the anime, read the manga up through volume 9, and recently preordered Corda2f for the psp.(I'll get to know Kaji, yay!)

Looking forward to getting to know you guys too!

Everything I post on here seems to get pretty long. Haha, sorry everyone. ^^;;

If you actually read all that I'm impressed! :)

Ah, score! I impressed someone today, haha (read it all).

Wow. That is... a very long introductory post. XD;; Good job.

You like Keiichi, I see? I feel happy now~ *roleplays as Keiichi* He is awesome, ne? ^^
You don't like Yunoki?! Better run from Shikumo while you can, haha.

I, too, signed up for Neopets a long time ago with a fake birthday....

I was also extremely excited when I found an active RP forum for La Corda d'Oro. I hope you get accepted soon! (;

I read it all too. 8D And I daresay, you probably have the longest introduction post on this entire board.

Welcome to BNB, Anna~ It's nice to have another roleplayer on here to round out our cast a bit more. I must say, if I wasn't such a Tsukimori fangirl, Tsuchiura would be right up there as my second choice. x3 And ah... you're not alone when it comes to Yunoki. I thought he was okay at first, but after he revealed his dark side, I gradually started disliking him. D: Shikumo-san, don't hurt me either!

I think that's one of Corda's best points: its ability to bring the love of music to everyone is quite nice, ne? I was also inspired to work harder with my music, though I haven't progressed nearly as much as you have. I'm impressed that you've been able to improve so much on the violin in so short a time. I've been playing for about six years, but I've never had a private teacher, so my technique and such is still pretty rough. I wish I had more time to practice too, but school eats away my soul...

It's really cool that you study Japanese! One of my goals in life is to learn Japanese one day, so that I could potentially play the Corda games (or any dating sim) on my own. And Japanese is such a useful/awesome language anyway. :3

Your Tsuchiura application looks really great, and I wish you the best of luck! I look forward to roleplaying with you soon.

Hello Anna and welcome to BNB~!

Definitely agreeing with what Yian said -- you have the longest introduction post here by far! (And yes I read through all that too. xD)

I see you're a Tsuchiura fan as well. :D He's also my favorite character from the series. (He's like the ideal guy among all of them, but of course, that's just me. xD) By the way, I read through your Tsuchiura app, and I must say, you've done a pretty detailed and solid app. I wish you the best of luck and I hope I could roleplay with you soon. :3

Reading your Corda story made me smile. It's great that it was able to inspire you to music. It's actually the same for me. Corda (along with Nodame Cantabile) actually reignited my love for the piano so I've been keen on going back to it again. However, my circumstances at the moment won't allow me to study (lack of time, no instrument)... so yeah. xD

But anyway, I hope you have fun here on the boards and I'm looking forward to getting to know you too. And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask~ :3

Oh, and just out of curiosity, what nationality are you? Your username struck me because it sounded Filipino-ish. xD

...so long.*A*

Welcome to BNB, Anna!8DD First up, I adore your Tsuchiura application.*__* It's so detailed, and it has so much new information about him. I never knew that the owner of Minami Instruments was his father.o____o""

And, I envy your dedication to music.D: I love the violin, but I'm terrible at it, and I ended up dropping it after a few sessions, so reading about you being able to finish the four books of the Suzuki series makes me inspired and guilty at the same time.XDD;;

Good luck with your application, and I hope to be able to roleplay with you in the future!!

Such good people, reading my rambling all the way. haha.
I get carried away. That's why everything gets so long. XD;

Thanks for responding everyone!♪

@Fahrin:
Haha, sorry. :D;;

Yay! Keiichi doesn't get enough love. Have you read any Corda fanfiction? He's always left out of everything because he's sleeping! I mean, he's a sleepy boy but he's not perpetually in a state of unconsciousness D<

But yeah, Keiichi is my second favorite character. :D

Neopets, those were the days! haha. :)

@Yian-san:
I know enough Japanese to stammeringly understand the dialogue in the games, I'm definitively not fluent. XD

Yunoki is one of those characters that you either love or you don't like. There's no neutral zone. I'm in the scared to pieces category.

I bought my violin with the education fund my grandma left for me. XD Music is educational, right?

School eats away at my soul too. I've got so much to do and haven't practiced much this week. D:
I think one of my advantages is that I do have a private teacher. I wish I could have started sooner, but when you love something, you're glad to just have it. :)

@penchan:
Yay! A Tsuchiura fan! In my experience, those are almost as scarce as Keiichi fans. In the games if I'm not going after Tsuchiura I can't talk to him at all or I'll go after him instead. XD;;

Corda is magical, somehow. :3

Nodame Cantabile was also a very good music-based anime. The art style bugged me for the first few episodes but I got over it. (and the plot is really good!)

It is Filipino. :) At least, I think so. A Filipino friend of mine called me that jokingly a couple times, so I'd assume it was Filipino. Do you know if it's really a name or if he was making fun of me? :P I'm not Filipino though. though I want to learn that language too!

@Peculuiarities:
Your name is hard to spell. @.@ Haha. I think I got it though!

:D I'm so glad I taught you some stuff about Tsuchiura. I can't wait to start roleplaying with everyone! ^_^ (If I get approved? When I get approved?)

Len once said that the violin was a hard instrument. He's so right. My bowing technique/general technique is not that great. D: Tsukimori would be like, " that's music?" and I would cry. XD

Tsuchiura hardly gets enough love in the fandom, which makes me sad because he's such a wonderful character! -__-|| We need to recruit more fans. xD;

The Nodame Cantabile art style does take a while to get used because it's not your usual anime style. I haven't actually watched the anime series yet; I've only seen the live-action drama which I've heard is quite loyal to the manga. And I loved it to bits. Quirky characters, good plot, amazing relationship dynamics... it's definitely up there on my faves. ^^

Ah, so that's how you came up with the name. xD; It isn't actually a name, it's more of an expression, I guess. 'Paraiba' is actually two separate words, 'para' and 'iba' and it means something along the lines of 'to be unique'. It really isn't really something you use to make fun of someone. I hope that explanation made sense. xD; It's nice that you want to learn Filipino too. :3 The formal language is a pain to study but the colloquial language is fun to learn. 8D
