My friend Ive known for 7 plus years is going to iraq. =[[ I dont want him to go but i understand he is going to have to. Hes going next month. Our passion levels are different. RIGHT NOW I see him as a friend like a brother. love him like a brother. He loves me like a soul mate. he wants to marry me. I said no because hes going to iraq and WHEN he comes back then we can start something. He told me that he will come back for me. I know he will. I am a American Soldier, I will always place my missions first, I will never accept defeat, I will never quit, I will never leave a fallen comrade, I am an American Soldier, I live by this creed.

Besides you will know for sure that you've found a life partner if he comes back to you (which i'm sure he will). Glad you love him like a brother as well that's how soldiers should be with one another. A man goes down in a soldiers eyes that's a brother gone down to him. The only thing you can do is show him support and salute him when he leaves and when he comes back greet him with open arms.
