I went to the bathroom after Ana had just been broken by Kim, and it was a break. I come back, and the match is over because something is wrong with ANA. When I got back, I was going to shout "hold your serve, Ana." DAYEM!!!!!

she did something to her left foot. The replay didn't really show anything, but I know they brought the doctor out and that's never a good sign.

I found the answer at the tournament site:

Ivanovic Retires, Clijsters Advances
Three games into what was shaping up to be an exciting match, Ana Ivanovic was forced to retire with an apparent foot injury. Kim Clijsters was serving with the advantage in the third game when Ivanovic walked off the court and called for a trainer. She received treatment on her foot and returned to the court. She tied the game back up but Clijsters aced her on the next serve and Ivanovic retired.

Clijsters, the No. 4 seed, will meet the winner of Maria Sharapova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the finals. That match will occur at 7 p.m. on Center Court.

Thanks, Casey. As you were posting, I was posting that I found an answer.

Foot injury. She said she felt or heard something CRACK, and after treatment tried but could not continue, then left in tears. Awful luck. "Confidential insiders" claim to have seen little Jada playing Jacks near where Ana pulled up lame, earlier in the day.

Ooh, cracks aren't good. When you can feel or hear it, ugh. Poor thing.
