Okay, so two of you are guaranteed losses today. Two of you are also guaranteed wins! Look on the bright side. Ana/Kim and Nando/David, please be kind to one another! Let whoever wins the first set take it in straights. Do not allow these matches to labor on. There will be trying matches in the next rounds, (and possibly another Rex vs Rex is Dementieva wins tonight). As for Papa Simon, remember that you are playing for three now. You beat the world number one on summer hardcourts two years ago, and took out Nadal in his home Madrid the same year. This is winnable, even if you are a big underdog. As for Elena D, this is your best slam. Samantha Stosur is a challenging opponent, but she has never been to the final here, where you have been to the last rounds of the tournament multiple times. Don't allow Team Ebony to run away with this! |
