This fantasy board only plays the slams. It is interesting because managers are active throughout the tournament, women's and men's teams are separate, and there are eight players per team.

Rules of Fantasy Tennis

The Rules of Fantasy Tennis are easy. There are two parts to the competition: (1) before the tournament starts you will create a team of 8 players who you think will advance the furthest in the tournament, and (2) starting with the 4th round (also called the Round of 16 because there are 16 players left in the draw) you will predict the winner of each match before the match begins. You will gain (or lose!) points depending on how far your players get in the tournament. You can make just a Men’s Singles team, a Women’s Singles team, or both.

Please make sure to create or edit your team of 8 players before the tournament begins, and once the Round of 16 starts please predict the winner of each match before the match starts. We will send you email reminders so that you do not forget, but be sure to add grandslamfantasytennis.com to your list of approved domains and check your spam folder.

Here are the rules in more detail:

Create a Team
You must create a team of 8 players that you think will advance the furthest in the tournament. Of your team of 8 players, you can only select a maximum of 5 players who are seeded in the top 16, and at least one player you select must be unseeded. You will receive or lose points depending on how far these 8 players get in the tournament. If you are creating a Men’s Singles and a Women’s Singles team you will need to select two teams of 8 players.

Of the 8 players on your team, select two that you think will make it to the finals, and then select the finalist who you think will win the tournament.

All players must be selected before the start of the first match of the tournament.

Team Points-

For each player that loses his/her 1st round match = -16 points (16 points will be deducted for each 1st round loss!)
- For each player that wins his/her 1st round match = +16 points
- For each player that wins his/her 2nd round match = +16 points
- For each player that wins his/her 3rd round match = +16 points
- For each player that wins his/her 4th round match = +16 points
- For each player that wins his/her QF round match = +24 points
- For each player that wins his/her SF round match = +32 points
- For each player that wins his/her finals match = +64 points

- You will receive 32 bonus points for each unseeded player on your team that makes it to the 4th round and you will receive 16 bonus points for each player seeded 17 to 32 on your team that makes it to the 4th round.

- If you correctly predict a finalist you will receive 32 points per player, and if you predict the winner you will receive 64 points.
For example, if Sharapova, seeded 14th, is on your team and she is defeated in the semifinals, then you receive a total of 16 + 16 + 16 + 16 + 24 points = 88 points. If she was unseeded then you would get an additional 32 bonus points.

Predict the Winner of Each Match (from 4th round to finals)
Starting with the 4th round you will predict the winner of each match. There are 8 matches in the 4th round, 4 in the quarter finals, 2 in the semi finals, and then championship match. So you will have to make a total of 15 match predictions (if you decide to create a Men’s AND a Women’s team you will make 30 predictions). All predictions must be made before the start of the match, and we will send you email reminders so you do not forget to make your prediction.

Match Prediction Points-

4th Round (round of 16): You will receive +16 points per correct choice
- Quarter Finals: You will receive +24 points per correct choice
- Semi Finals: You will receive +32 points per correct choice
- Finals: You will receive +64 points for a correct choice
