That's great. It is much clearer than a lot of the reproductions.

Thanks for posting.

Randy,

A little slow to load up but it looks really good !

Theres a lot to be learned from WO documents like these owners manuals.
Especially when one can compare it to another issue.
For example I'll reference a change between this 1961 and the 1964 edition.

When you scroll down to page 6 you can find the given compression ratio. Here it is listed as 6.9 to one.
The 1964 CJ-3B owners manual will state a compression ratio of 7.4 to one as standard.

These may seem like small facts but are truely important changes.
This change alone will yield an increase of about 3 hp.

Noted changes will also correspond with other WO publications.
Documented facts like this assists us when we narrow down changes to exact timelines.

my 3B is slightly older than me - without the manual I wouldnt know about LH. vs. RH. wheel nuts and things others may take for granted ...

I also have a '57 manual (printed copy only) - SOM 1010 2nd edition ,
as you said OLDTIME they are an excellent reference document

the '57 manual shows the single big speedometer guage which I associate with the start of the 12v 3B - I believe 6v was made an option at the start of 12v production - yet the manual only speaks of 6v

the little server hosting the manual above has been pushing 100G of data over a wireless connection since friday - it should complete later tonight , performance might improve slightly after than ...

Some of the pages were cut off... anyone else have that problem? For example, the bottom half of the specifications page was missing.
Jeep-less at the moment.

Still somewhat involved with a '54 475-4WD pickup, however.

your probably not alone, it was built on mac with version 1.3 or 1.4 of adobe which is about 10 years old ...

seeing your post I installed several older versions which allowed me to see a few pages obsured in later releases but none were perfect ...

will see if there is a free utility I can use to somehow upgrade it if thats possible ...

I saved it as the Adobe Acrobat 8.0. It did not help. Do you have the orginal? If so I would be interested in rescanning it and posting it. Send me an email if you do. info@haflatfenders.com

This is great; thanks for posting it. I had the same problem as Andy and P8106jr though with cut off pages (16 of the 46 pages didn't fully download). Are the missing pages available anywhere?

Thanks!!!

I tried to repair the file with two or three software programs but no luck - so - I plan to rescan the damaged pages from old printed copy of same manual "before" the file corrupted - one or two pages may have still come from a '57 manual where the pages are same ...

stay tuned ... my guess is early feb ...
