This topic had been covered fairly well not too long ago. I don't see it available to review (could be archived elsewhere and I just couldn't find it). I did a quick check on the Tech page on this http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Tech/FloorPanels.html but that discussion seemed to concentrate on what type wood to use as a replacement in the hat channels plus a bit more but didn't include the most recent discussion. It would be nice to access previously discussed topics so we won't have to "re-invent the wheel" each time someone asks a question. |

I have a friend here on Vancouver Island who makes them intermittently for a reasonable price. He hangs out on the 2a page and goes by Lomar. I can get you his contact info if you want to pursue that. Nick. |

The composite deck boards are awesome as a filler strip in lieu of wood. |

Been working on the tub floor cutting out rust and fitting new metal in. Just got my shipment from JeePanels Plus of hat channels late friday night, to late to call Sheldon with a question. But my assy papers say Civilian M38/M38A1 .... Tried them out just to see how they looked all fitted together..... Its looks like alot of trimming to do??? but I think I can make them work. Did anyone have the same thing with happen.... |

When you say Trimming, what do yo mean? I had to shorten a couple of them related to attaching them to existing channels. I did not remove my tub when I rebuilt my floors. The tubs behind the firewall are very similar design and a lot of the parts are interchangeable. I would not worry about the description If you don't have one, go invest in a cut off air tool. I got mine at Harbor freight fo $60.00 Must have tool for doing body work. Makes a quick way to cut the tin. Only issue is you have to have a big air compressor to keep it spinning. I probally spent as much on tools as I on purchasing pannels and paint on the tub. (don't tell the wife, though I think she suspects.)
