Derek, I enjoyed the last three articles.

I especially liked the photo of the sunset with your Jeep, very nice photo composition. You have a beautiful location.

Also, it really WAS nice to see some Jeeps without snow (only in a willys). About this time of year we start dreaming of such things, well, maybe not our friends in the southern hemisphere. I am planning an April trip to central Utah and will try to get some good shots for a future article.

Les Davis did a great job on his military conversion. That is a lot of work and a real nice looking outfit.

Thanks for the comments Dave. And I've got lots more good stuff coming, although I only have limited time to work on it, so as usual there's a huge backlog.

You know that great YouTube video of the CJ-3B chassis test drive? We'll have the full photo story of that Jeep, hopefully in the next week or so. And I have a wonderful historic photo of a CJ-3B fire Jeep that might be on the cover page next month. I had no information about it, but with the help of various people on the Internet it's amazing how quickly I was able to uncover the story of the photo.

Thank you Derek, Ken, Larry, Randall, Chris and many many others!
2 1/2 years ago I purchased a piece of junk with the idea I was going to make her a weekend hunting buggy. Well as my wife says I have a compulsive hobby problem. Though she may take me Quail hunting time to time, she will not be left in the barn or lease.

Through all the technical information , friendships, advice sharing of parts,( at nominal cost) :D my 1963 is about 90% original. Still a lot of work to get her to show room state, however I keep plugging at it.

Today is a great day! Rebuilt generator and with new regulator. Steady 14 volts being charged. New water pump and Fresh air heater installed and cranking heat, (tough it was 80 degrees today, I will be ready for next year!)

Derek, Thank you! Great site! I can not even imagine the number of hours you have and will put into it.

Derek,

I tried e-mailing Les Davis in Austin, but the e-mail was returned.

For you guys still in the cold, come on down here to the Texas Gulfcoast. Today it got up to near 80 with bright sunshine and blue skies, While doing some welding on some shop built goodies for a new trailer I recently bought, I broke a healthy sweat most of the afternoon!

Had a bad cold over the weekend so I was stuck in the house quite a bit, and I got a few things added to the website. Including an article that stems from a discussion on the Bulletin Board a year ago, about the number of surviving CJ-3B's in each U.S. state. Check out the map to see how your state rates in CJ-3B Jeeps per million population.

See the What's New list by clicking on the home page icon at the top of this page.
