ALRIGHT !!! 10-4 Good buddy !!! It looks like we got us a POLL going !!! Now,,, the rest of you with winches,,, let's hear what ya got !!! WOW !!!! It looks like a couple of you guys are Kings in the winch world. I'm impressed with your inventory!!! I have a Koenig Model 100 winch installed using a single stick Koenig J-51 PTO for power and use 150 feet 5/16 inch steel cable (wire rope). I have a Ramsey single stick PT-1, PTO sitting on the bench. I'm thinking about swapping it out because it has a rear shaft drive shaft output also. Has anyone seen the report in Overland Journal on winch test? I've been trying to find a copy on news stands and it's not in this town. http://www.overlandjournal.com/ short teaser on You tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QQqz0vF0KQ |

KOENIG Model 100 PTO, 8000 lb front mounted, 150' 5/16 wire rope per Koenig specs, single lever control on chain driven ^%$# aluminum case. Had to heli-coil every one of the case 1/4 20 machine screws!!!! Use a 20' 2" nylon choker and 3/4 screw pin shackle to secure the rear of the 3B through the pintle hitch and pull firewood into working position. All the good firewood is always below the road! Ed |

hey,bet none of you guys have a heckethorn sidewinder, one in front, since 78,one in in back, mounted underneath, hidden in the frame rails, the ol'e things were a unique idea that never caught on, i bought mine new, put the rear one in, in 85. they are rated at 10,000. and still work very well, my m606 is very heavey, about 5500,or so,mostly the 4bt cummins and 60's, but the sidewinders allways pull. |
