I have a new member on our Antique Willys board from Munich, who is looking at a jeep in Italy. Here is her post:
I'd appreciate is there is anyone here who could help identify this unique looking CJ6, if they would post some information for this lady. Her English is decent, and understandable, but not perfect. Here is the thread link: http://www.antiquewillys.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=121 |

Dunl, According to the serial number plate its a CJ-6 built in January of 1964. Go see: http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Photos/Ser...Monthly6365.gif The Cab is a Koenig Super cab. Go see: http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Photos/Har...enigFolder1.JPG The mileage and condition indicates a value of $6000 plus U.S. |

Yes, it's the Mediterranea version, assembled in Sicily. The smaller headlights were apparently designed to comply with Italian regulations about how far apart they have to be. Among the photos the interested buyer sent me is one that shows the Mediterranea serial number plate, which has the Willys serial number 25842 stamped on it. I'm glad to get these photos because I lost some material on the Italian Jeeps in my hard drive crash last year, and as you can see on the page at http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/World/Italy.html I don't have any CJ-6 photos. No idea what the going price in Europe would be, but I expect she's seeking some advice there too. I agree with oldtime that its value is substantial. Derek

Looks like a Ramsey winch too, hard to tell if it's a PTO, I can't see clearly how many shifters it has. Also has the sought after ventilating windshield, both would add to the value, but it would be hard to put a $$ value on it. |

Just to give you an idea how much Jeeps cost in Macedonia. (It's all written in Macedonian but click on the images to enlarge them) http://pazar3.com.mk/ViewItem.aspx?itemId=238540 It says "Willys Jeep in good condition, recently restored, petrol engine and it runs on LPG too " The price is 5000 Euros - very, very expensive. For this kind of money you can buy a decent car. It's not possible to sell this Jeep at this price in Macedonia, and just to add - this might be a Mahindra which is less valued to be honest. I e-mailed the owner whether it's a Willys or Mahindra but so far I didn't receive any reply. I dind't receive an answer of it has the Hurricane in...
