A short introduction, as I'm new to this forum. My name is Hanno and I live in the Netherlands. Although I have always had an interest in jeeps, and knew the Dutch military used several hundred Universal Jeeps after WW2, I only recently I found out the Dutch military also used the CJ-3B jeep, notably the Air Force and Navy. Only a handful were acquired before thousands of M38A1's were locally assembled by the Netherlands Kaiser Frazer Factories (NEKAF). Hope this is of interest! You can see more information at http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/World/NEKAF.html which is where the image of the NEKAF CJ-3B advertisement comes from. Thanks for the photo of the CJ-3B ambulance Hanno. Can you tell me where that photo was published? Derek |

Derek, That picture was published in Bart Vanderveenīs The Observer's Military Vehicles Directory from 1945. If you want I can try to make a better scan for your site? Hanno |
