Derek, I wanted to thank you for the fun article on the Fire Jeep now being shown on the home page. That was a lot of detective work you did and the results were entertaining. |

I'll ditto Don's message as I too enjoyed reading the story, and for some odd reason, I tend to love anything fire department related, particularly vintage fire apparatus. There once was an amusement park in the Spring Branch area of Houston that had two such vehicles, a Jeep pick-up front mounted pump rig and a CJ2A mounted smaller pump and tank, both of which I still remember very well, and that was back in the early 50's. Derek, you never let us down when it comes to posting the monthly 3B photo and yes, I know well that I still owe you some pic's. If the guys in the flatfender club can get me off my lazy a$$, and get mine up and running (and most important, stopping) again, I promise to e-mail you some of what you've asked me for. Larry S. |

I didn't think when I clicked on 'confirm bid' that an eBay bought CJ3B Jeep photo would cause such excitement here. I am happy to have shared the photo with the CJ3B community and grateful to Derek for doing so much work to find out ALL the information about it; when, where, who etc. Derek's in Canada, I'm in England and guys in the US helped Derek with info - internet and electronic communication help our hobby no end. Imagine if it had all been done by mail! flat fenders forever JC |
