I'm in morning now as I write this. My newly rebuilt engine with less than 4000 miles is ka-put!! When I acquired it the engine had 88000 original miles but still ran, so I drove it about 500 miles before it ceased up. I had it rebuilt with new pistons. rods, rings, sleeves, hardened valve seats, cam shaft and a reconditioned crank shaft. I thought I would get many years of driveing pleasure, I drive it almost daily, but the crank shaft broke in half a couple days ago.
I've been reduced to driving regular ordinary vehicles.
I now have the engine torn apart awaiting new parts!!
Has anyone else had a crank shaft break? I thought this would be the last part to fail.
