Just wondering if you can pull mainshaft to change syncros and blocking rings without removing tranny just removing transfer case and shift tower realizing of course I will drop the large needle bearings and will need to fish them from the bottom of the case Neil |

Ya Neil, I've never tried that, but I don't see any reason why it should not work. Problem is most folks also want to get at that input pilot seal. But anyway... If the mainshaft synchro's are the main goal it should work fine. Don't forget you will need a new TC to transmission gasket. Good luck Pal |
