We've still got a month or so of good, warm weather (some have more), but I thought it might be a good time to start a thread for pics and videos of our trips and trail runs from this summer. With about 350 members now, there should be some good footage out there! Let's see your Jeeps out and about! I'll start off. None of my vids are very spectacular, just the old Jeep out in the hills (had to act as my own cameraman). ![]() ![]() And a few vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6d7L693Cag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7Ci9mOOiDQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNZyP3PVoH8 |

Doug, We may very well have a lot more hot weather here in days to come on the Texas Gulfcoast, but I'd trade them off any day for the beautiful terrain (and scenery) you've got to offroad in (and over). What a great scene you're showing us of the mountain area and don't be afraid to show us more when you can, (reminds me of some of the great photos I'm e-mailed periodically from Johannes over in the Alps of his home country, Switzerland). So help me, if I had this kind of territory anywhere near here to enjoy, I'd get off my lazy a$$ and get my 3B out every chance I could rather than let it sit out in the shop doing absolutely nothing. Keep up the great jeep'n spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Larry S. |

great looking shots I really like the vids Doug - thanks !, hoping others will keep posting here believe it or not the only running F4's besides mine I have heard are in video's mostly on youtube, I watched a fair amount of them to get an idea how my engine compared ... I plan to contribute some video hopefully by this time next year not my 3B but this video is a fairly stock 3B navigating a washout, its not easily located on youtube ... thought some might enjoy stock looking 3B navigates washout |

Hi guys, don't have time right now to post a bunch, but we did some great areas this year in Lil Willy (54 CJ3B) including Capital Reef NP, Mesa Verde NP, Great Sand Dunes NP, Rocky MTN NP, and a second trip to the Colorado San Juans in what I would term America's Alps (our first four-wheeling trip there). We even did Black Bear Road (of C.W. McCall fame). I'll try and load some up in the future, and get a story or two written for Derek to maybe post as a main article. In the meantime, let's see if I can load these two photos: 1 approaching the "no turn-back" area of Black Bear, and 2 the sign stating that. We descended into Telluride in the rain, fueled up and came back over the pass to the south. Ran into Michael Martin Murphey in Lake City on that trip, doing a concert. We only got to share voice mails that time. Dave Pete P.S. I can't get the picture thing to work. I think I heard you have to load it elsewhere and then bring it here. I'll work on it later. Sheesh, why can't this be as easy as turning a half inch nine sixteenths combo wrench? <_< |
