I am putting the windshield back on my 63 3b after painting it. I think I have all the pieces but was wondering if there were any brass washes that I am missing. Can someone please post a SUPER CLOSE UP Photo? Thanks NC Nick |

No brass washers used on the 3B windshields. Is this a standard W/S or ventilating W/S ? Painted black ? |

Hey Oldtime, It does not have a vent. I have painted the frame black. If i understand correctly, On the working from the outside in, First I have the Windshield frame with the mounting bracet that spins around, Second I have a stationary bracket. The Stationary bracket has a smooth side and the other side has ribs/ lines cut into it. The lines should face out. Last I have the Jeep Cowl wall. Is this right? Thanks NC Nick |

Nick, I knew I had a couple of pictures stuffed away somewhere. Here's one that should help: ![]() One thing to stress. You can see the large washer on the outside just under the pivot bolt. What you can't see is there's another much thinner washer that isn't "flat" but bowed. I assume it's purpose is to keep some tension on the bolt threads. I cannot remember if it's under the large flat washer (outside windshield frame leg) or in between the leg and bracket. Perhaps someone else knows. Hope this helps. |
