Some pictures of a day of wood cutting in an area west of Comox BC the camera doesn't show how steep the terrain actually is, I have surge brakes on the trailer and they were cooking on the way down, Low 1st and 2nd did the trick and the winter wood is in!![]() ![]() no wood was stolen during the filming of this trip ![]() ![]() |

WOW Did those 10 inch brakes get hot coming down out of there,, Reminded me of the load I brought down out of the Mtns in my 64 Willys Pickup that the brake Cyl let loose :angry: .. I shudered when I saw your 3B with a load about the size of mine,, There work horses for sure,,, Looks like a nice place to cut wood too,,, Wish I had a Office like that...

nice 3b with a light trailer. do you burn your wood in the large chunks or do you split them again when you get them home. i split mine as big as possible and burn the same way. i get my hardwood delivered for free as the locals have to pay to dump. |

Getting the wood this size gives me both options at home. I've got 1/2 ton chev disk brakes up front so they even get warm (but the trailer's did !!!!), if you look real close at the second pic you can see the Mitsubishi emblem on the front grill it's a 1988 with a 2.7L turbo diesel (4RD6) it sure has nice power and compression holdback for the mountians. I can run the roads all day on 15$ worth of diesel. (I think I'll go for a drive tomorrow)

Wow cutting wood pictures...sure did bring back some memories for me. My Dad heated our for years on wood. We spent many hours a year cutting trees and spitting wood on the farm |
