Brother, if memory serves me right, the front fenders on a 2A, 3A and 3B are all the same (bolt hole wise) and should *bolt right on using the existing holes. The difference in body parts between the A's and the B, are the extended height grill, hood and dash cowl as well as the windshield height. *However, if the new fenders are MD Juan reproductions, you may have some altering (drilling, etc.) to do, particular with the right side fender. John, I had a pair of 2A or 3A fenders on my 3B for years. They fit but they are different in subtle ways. Holes are different, and, more noticably on the right fender vs. the left, the 3B inner fenderwall is "molded" vs. different pieces welded together like the earlier jeeps. See Lawrence Wade's fender here: ![]() On new fenders, all I can say is know your source and understand the return policy. Before chancing upon one NOS and one used original 3B fender I ordered a pair from Krage's. What they sent was obviously wrong. The right fender had a huge notch on the back portion where half of this notch would have been seen from the outside of the fender when installed. ![]() I called and asked what happened and, if my memory is correct, was told it was really an M38 fender and that "cutout" was for the voltage regulator. Plus the front mount holes (for the radiator guard) were slots vs. holes - with a brace. ![]() They told me it would be easy to modify it or if I didn't want it maybe I could find someone else that could use it. Yes, it could have "fit" but I whined and fussed a bit more and they reluctantly accepted a return. |
