Finally got my bike rack finished yesterday. What has been in pics before was more of a mock-up. It's a custom fab job outta many different donated bike rack pieces, and now it works!

I would be a little leary of going off on the bikes and leaving that nice looking highhood parked somewhere. Even the bike trail parking lots have been victims of vandalism. I am even leary of parking in grocery store parking lots and spending 20 mins. there. Maybe in your 'neck-of-the-woods' you do not have the problem. Your jeep really looks nice and the bike rack looks great too. Be carefull of low trees and parking garages. Are your hood stops rubber? Did you make them or does somebody sell them? |

I made them outta teak, painted 'em black and then added a 1/4 rubber self-adhesive furniture pad from Lowes cut to size. |

Nice set up Goose, The whole rig is looking fine. I Like the tires, what size did you use? Did you have to space them out to keep them off the leaf springs That bike rack looks clean strong. Now no back country trails will be too narrow for you to go anywhere. Aloha, Jax

Tires are Cooper 31/10.50's, rims are mid-70's Broncos and suspension is a Superlift 1" kit. Never had a problem with leaf clearance. Thanks for the props Jax...and everyone else! |

Very nice all around rig Goose that you've obviously poured a lot of sweat into, so go enjoy it now; (but watch out for low hang'n tree limbs on those country roads as they could take your bikes in a heartbeat)! |

Goose, help with the posting of pictures on this blog. I have pictures that I think CJ-3B owners would like to see, but I can not figure out how to get them on this blog I have copied the instructions that people have posted, I have tried to get pictures on photobucket and I still am having a problem. Is it me or is this not easy. I am an old fart and computers are not my best suit. I might have to get my grand kids to do this for me. I can design a mechanical devise, but computers? Dick W. |
