Hi guys! I've been lurking around the CJ3B page for quite awhile but didn't own one until last weekend. I dragged home what amounts to a pile of '53 3B parts. It's missing the tub and the front fenders, but everything else is there and seems to be in restoreable condition. I was going to hold out for a better one but I couldn't say no to the price. Now begins my first Jeep project! I've wanted a flattie forever and can't wait to get started. I'm sure I'll have more than a few questions. The hunt for an original steel tub and fenders is on, so if any of you fellow lower P Michigander 3B'ers have anything (even super rough stuff...I've been a fabricator for 18+ years, so rust doesn't scare me) available, let me know! Thanks and LOVE the page! -Marc Sebright from Wayland, Michigan. |

Marc, Welcome to the CJ-3B Bulletin Board ! There's a tub in O.K. for cheap. See: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/2533635002.html You could possibly get it hauled to St Louis for free ? See: http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread....ouis-and-Return |

Thanks! I'll have to look into it. Most of the 3B tubs I find around here could be taken home in a dustpan! |

And now it seems that there is the stainless steel option available again. Maybe a little spendy and maybe doesn't fit just right but is an option these days with original sheet metal gone. You can check this out at delomc@gmail.com or call 1-800-822-6313. The brochure I have is out of 6640 S. Myrtle Rd. Myrtle Creek, Oregon 97457 It is 16-ga. stainless steel, and it says they have parts as well as a complete tub for the CJ-3B. A complete tub lists for $3,988.00 F.O.B. Myrtle Creek Or. They do not show any prices for fenders, hood, tail gate and etc. in this brochure. Dick W. |
