Mike,

It looks like a M606. Name plate indicates such.

More details here..

I like the two speed manual winch on the front.

I'd like to see a picture of the rear if you have one.

Wow, it looks as if another US Army CJ-3B has surfaced. An older issue than mine. Can you get some more pictures from different sides?
Can you get the owner to come on the CJ-3B page to discuss it's known history?

I can get more pics. The owner picked this up for 3500.00 he's not going to sell it. Its a billboard for his body shop. He knows nothing about it and doesn't care.. our favorite kind of owner... lol. Ill get some good pics all around today. The jeep, to me, looks all orig. Floors are 99% original . Ill see what I can get for you guys.

Yeh Mike, I would appreciate as many pictures as you can get to help document the CJ-3B/ M606 of the earlier years. And thanks for asking the owner of what he knew of it. Boy, I hope he doesn't just let it sit outside in the weather all the time :(

All four side views, close up of the dash, under the hood, if he will let you.
And most important for me, pictures and measured dimensions of all lettering other markings.

Interesting,
This one is definately an M606.
The previous serial number of # 621150 is another surviving Jeep located in Texas.
It was evidently just in front of this one when on the assembly line.
Could it also be a military ?

I would estimate the dual tanks to be a previous owners modification.

Evidently this Jeep originally came with dual vacuum wipers.
