I want to give you an update and a conclusion to the wiring problem. I bought my jeep in upper new york state and trailored it home and parked it in the garage never driving it and starting my rebuild days later. At the time i never knew about the problem with the headlights. So i put the new wiring harness in never realizing the problem was not the harness but the bulbs. I give you guys the credit for the answer. I tested the bulbs right off the battery and found that one headlight bulb that was dim was a 12 volt and the two new ones were also 12volts. I did not know the new bulbs were 12 volts because there was no marking on the box or bulbs. I TOOK THEM BACK to the parts store AND SURE ENOUGH THEY WERE 12 VOLT BULBS. The parts store apologized for the mistake and exchaned the 12 volt bulbs for 6 volt bulbs. I put the new bulbs in and the (PROBLEM IS SOLVED). Everything works the way it should. THANK YOU ALL. Fred. |
