Bruce, I should be able to make it to Buena on the 20th or 21st. It's around 117 miles from the house down the gun barrel. Do you have directions or an address for the meeting point?
I think I can put something together in my area. The idea I'll discuss at the tour which I've been thinking about for the last decade or so.

Sounds good Dennis, we'll sure be glad to have ya. And I'm anxious to hear what you have in mind.
Our host's name is Mike Picard (M38Mike on the CJ2APage), and he lives a bit south & west of Nathrop, which is just south of Buena Vista. His address is 20123 Hideout Lane, Nathrop, 81236. From the Nathrop Post Office go south 1.5 mi, go west on County Road 280 1.7 mi, south on CR 282 half a mile, and east and south (the road turns) on Old Ranch Loop .9 mi, and south on Hideout Lane about 100 yards. Mike will probably have an M38 grille tied to his mailbox. :D
I'll be looking forward to seeing you then, if you have any other questions, just ask, I'll do my best to give you good answers. BW

I still cant figure why my Brother left Colorado to move back to Norfolk Va... Guess Ill have to get my 3b done to make a trip out there before I kick my bucket list,, Sometimes it makes me wanta smack my Mom ,, Him & I are sooo different,, Still want to cross that great divide and Maybe winter in Yellerstone... Been looking at some nice (used) C-class Campers just for trips like this,,, Might have to find a camp sight that lets you stay for 6 months at a time,,, Getting to old for the Snow & Cold...

Me, my Mathews, and my Son and his bow work together. We got skunked last year. Could hear em, & smell em but no luck with a good shot.
I have 5 antique hand made muzzle loaders that I got while working in Mongolia. I would not fire any of them except maybe 1. Rifle season I shoot my 7mm MAG. I am usually too busy chasing them out of my yard to go climb around the hills looking for them.

Bruce thank you for the directions. Looks like the 20th or 21st will be the departure date from South Fork. Anybody wanting to caravan from the south let me know.
