I never thought I'd drive TO a hurricane, but the 85 year old mother in law lives alone in an older house with a leaky basement, lots of old trees and a well as the water supply about 20 miles west of Philly. I'm assuming that she'll lose the electricity (ergo water), have a soggy basement, and tree damage. Last spring during the heavy rains she lost a couple of tall trees. At least we'll get there early enough to help her to prepare. Maybe this'll be the event that will convince her to move to Kentucky... j |

Good luck, right now the hurricane has been downgraded but they usually gain strength in the open water. We honeymooned on Ocracoke Island which was evacuated the other day. |
