Wow is right

that looked pretty neat, If that lil eng has lower compression and a stout bottom end, it will hold,

As long as he dont get greedy with the zip, Turbos are really amazing makes a little 4 bannger rig have the pull of a V-8

or so it would seem

it looks neat, and sounds neat at idle. but this is the problem i see, the turbo appears to only be producing about 1.5 lb of boost at 5 grand and does not start producing until about 4500. i also don't think he has the fuel pressure to benefit from it. i had to turn the sound off on my computer i hate to hear an engine free rev that high, especially an f head. i don't mean to be negative, i am just not a believer :ph43r:

I knew a guy that had a pontiac 4 cyl. turbo in his 2a racer. Of course that's a shorter stroke engine and can rev higher. It was a screamer. I agree with bob webber, it did not look like his turbo was really doing much until it was screaming. Looked like he had to fab the exhaust manifold.

Bob I had a 63 Pontiac Tempest with a inline 4 cly that looked like half of a V8 kinda laid on its side,, It was a 195 ,, It over heated on me coming back from Fla. one year & lemped home bout 45 or 50 miles putting water in it ,,, Pulled the head off & there was a large crack in it ,, Went to the local junk yard & ask for a head off a 195 Pontiac & the guy went out & I trailed behind him,,He rasied a hood or 2 ... Then he found what he was looking for ,, It was a 389 V8 & he pulled one of the heads off & handed ot to me ,, I looked at it & set it down to compare it with mine & it was that same.. It had bigger valves & a smaller cc head than mine but ever thing else was perfect...took it home & with a new head gasket & intake gasket put it on ,, buttened it that night ,, Fired it up & it ran great in the shed,, next moring I fired it up & headed for work,, It was way pepeyer than it was before ,,, Ran real good ,, Got a speeding ticket the next night coming home,, I was just seeing what it would do ,,, 93 in a 55 zone,, I still had some pedal yet when I looked up & seen him smiling at me,,, Worked for 2 weeks to pay that fine..On the good side it only cost me 55 dollars in fuel back then to go to the fla keys from Md & back,, & did it in record time too..

Hoghead, yup, that's the motor, it's still a pretty popular motor with the racing crowd, though I suspect hard to find a block for these days. You can build them like crazy, they rev really high, and use chevy small block parts. Like I said, his had a turbo and ran like a v8.

Im sure if Id have had a 2 or maybe a 3 barrel on mine it would have flyed,,,(little polishing of the intake & a nice 3 angle valve job & a home made set of headers)
Be neat to have one in a 3b ,, But a head scratcher on the adaptor to fit it in,,, Not sure if the Chevy adaptor to the T-90 would work or not.. If you had accsess to a nice machine shop anything is possiable,,, :)

Mine had a Trans-axle Automatic & it was tuff too,,,
