My parking brake cable doesn't retract under its own power as I unlock the p-brake. Even if I lube it. In fact now, the metal cable part is bungling up just before the cable sheath. I think it may be because my spring is not strong enough to pull the cable through the sheath. Is there an adjustment that can be made? Any idea where to find the appropriate spring if replacement is the best option? |

There is an attachment bracket on the bottom side of the tub for the spring. http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Photos/Own.../Handbrake2.JPG http://www.film.queensu.ca/cj3b/Tech/BrakeCable.html Scroll down half-way for image of bracket: http://www.film.queensu.ca/cj3b/Owners/Porfidio.html The spring is available from vendors. |

No adjustment concerning retracting of the lever. Pull the cable off - thoroughly clean - inspect - lube. With cable removed you should have absolutely no binding of the cable inside the sheath. You will have to find a "generic" replacement retracting spring. |
