I have a new fuel pump with the aux vacuum on bottom. I unbolted the top chamber and a spring popped out and there is an umbrella shaped rubber diaphragm with a shaft with like a large sewing needle. This was loosely fit into a rubber seal but I'm not sure what to do (orient) the shaft and is that slit fit something or do I just press this diaphragm into the seal and insert the spring and bolt up? The fuel pump body is still bolted to the block and I'd rather not take it off as its a bear to get it back on owing to cam lobe pressure. |
