"correct original details"????? I wasn't aware M38 tool indents were ever used on a 3B-along with the handles, bow brackets, or that fuel filter, etc, etc. And the tub definately had some work done. Reasonably nice 3B but not $8,800 in my book. But what do I know? |

looks good, but kinda crazy on the "original details" I'd expect more out of Barrett-Jackson |

The tub on my '53 3B also has the pioneer tool indentions as this one does, but for sure, mine is an early aftermarket product of unknown manufacturer. |

No way you could build that for 8800. Somebody lost a lot of money on that one. |

For that kind of money I'd expect a 100 point restoration. Seat coverings are wrong, Taillights are wrong, I don't know if that is an electric fuel pump or gas filter on firewall near steering column, Front marker lights are wrong, Never seen the handles, top bows or tools on a 3B(maybe M606?), Used cheap lockout hubs. Vacuum line for wipers run outside the driver's side of the body?, Clutch & Brake pedals missing felts around shafts, E-brake handle may be wrong for 1960 - T-handle style needed? Clutch & Brake pedals may be wrong for 1960 - should use rubber cover style pedal and Missing rubber horn button cap? You are right though, there's probably way more than $8800 in that 3B. Barrett- Jackson always tacks on a BUYER'S premium in addition to the SELLER'S premium plus Tag, Title Tax and Shipping so you will have way more than the asking price before you are done with that beauty. |

it is a very nice 3b, i have always been partial to the ax and shovel look, i think even the new jeeps should have that option. ha but the biggest bloopers i see are in Barrett Jackson's listing, "Authentic and rare CJ3B" "Has original OHC 4-cylinder" yes it certainly would be rare if it had an overhead cam 4-cylinder.

53 3b, early cj5 frame (hurricane),2.43 ratio t case 26 tooth with 1 1/4" case (my own creation), late 60's c5 ross steering box, all range od, parts from a welder generator, and parts from about 9 different jeeps and counting. my every last penny and ounce of patients creates what we call the FrAnken B, the jeep that never was bob, north east Ohio | |
