Daryl, True, true! LOL Back then I was a kid of few tools. I've learned a few things since then - and continue to learn as I read! I already have a few plastic tools in my inventory and I do remember how nervous I was running that screwdriver around the edge of the glass. I didn't want to actually touch the glass for fear of chipping it. Better tools means a better job! Making it through my youth reminds me of a quote someone had in their signature block on another forum. "Good judgment comes from experience. Most experience comes from bad judgment." |

Hey Phil, Where are you located and what company were those guys from? Edit: Just looked at your profile. You're in England, huh? Guess I don't need the name of the company. They probably won't come to Chicago.

Hi John, yeah - as helpful and chatty as these two fella's were I think that might be a bit of a stretch for 'em. I say chatty because the big guy is an off road 4x4 enthusiast so you can imagine the rib diggin' I got when I related my pitiful story.  However, for the record the outfit is called Autoglass. It would appear that the Ohio based Safelite is also part of the group. http://www.safelite.com/ More info from here; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autoglass
