Did anyone else suffer from 3b page withdrawal for the last two days due to the page being offline or was it just me?

well, first i thought it was a problem with my computer so i promptly cleared my browsing history cookies and all that junk. when that did not work i did a restart, it was not till then did i start to get a little panicky. luckily my wife had the idea that she would try to pull it up with her i pad and naturally she had no luck either. so then i came to the assumption that it was something beyond my little household, so i figured that the site may have been under construction or what not. ha if the power goes out i think i miss the b page more than anything else. i will soon be budgeting in my household ( just because i want to start living a little bit smarter financially) i will be getting rid of my home phone and cable television, and getting a wifi hotspot for home. i can live with very little and not care much about contact with the outside world, but it seems kind of funny that without the b page i feel as if i am in a dark cardboard box and i do not know what is going on around me. many thanks to derek for getting her back up and running

I was a little freaked by it, but it happened a few weeks ago too, but only for an hour or so. We dumped our home phone a few years ago and traded it for high speed wireless. The only person that ever called my home phone was my father and telemarketers. You'll have to let me know how you like the wifi hotspot, the prices are starting to look pretty decent on them. |

I did'nt miss it one meager little Iota, Nada, Zilch. But then again I was at the Midwest Willys Reunion at that time. So from my viewpoint Derek has again surpassed all expectations with excellent DOWNTIMING ! |

I wasn't able to open the home page but I was able to open the Bulletin Board. I have the link to the BB saved seperatly from the Home Page so while I missed looking at a few references, I was able to read the BB post. Derek, is the Home Page and the BB on seperate servers? |

Yes, the BB resides on invisionfree which is a commercial forum service -- I assume they make their money on ads. I think this is the fourth version of the BB -- the first two ran on software on my server along with the rest of the website, but they were limited in areas including no ability to post photos. Oldtime, that's very funny about you missing the whole episode because you were at the Reunion. Derek |
