Several of us got together for a trail ride over in eastern Alabama at Chocolocco mountain offroad park. I been neglecting my jeep for too long. My jeep suffered a herniated toolbox floor, from a long history of PA winters and Mr. Rust. The ol' gal surprised all but me, I let my son drive so his arms would be sore from fighting the Ross box. The relpacement tub is still hiding in the garage. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looking good there Jeff ......... wish that I could have been along! Just completed (an hour ago) installing one of Carl Walck's repro *radiators from across the pond in my '53 (perfect bolt in fit I might add), hoping that resolves the overheating problem the jeep's had. Old radiator had a rotted core. Just wait'n now on a r/b generator that Jamie P. is bringing over tomorrow and after installing that, mine should be up and running once more. *All that has to be done to Walck's repros are marking and drilling the six 1/8" holes along the sides to re-mount the fan shroud. Requires a depth restraint device on the bit so as not to slip and drill through the outer cooling tubes. I used a 5/8" length of 1/4' copper tubing and it worked quite well. |
