In the last 3 posts i only got one info which makes my average at bat not too great, if any of you willys brothers can tell me cause there isn't much cj3b around these parts to check details, if the front bumper is centered with the frame or with the wheels, i'm asking because of a 1 inch difference from side to side, wheel to frame measurement and i had to make a new one from scratch. any info with pictures would really help. |

I measured the two CJ3B part jeeps I have, both 54's , both with the original bumpers attached. The front bumper is centered on the frame. Both ends of the bumpers stick out from the outside edge of the frame, 8 3/8". I didn't measure the wheel to frame thingy yet, I'll try and do that tomorrow between the rains. Are your wheels and tires all the same size? |

I went out and measured my tires from the frame. The back tires are the same on both sides. When I got to the front. I looked to see if they were straight before I measured. They "looked" ok. So I measured to the frame. hmmm,,, one inch difference. Then I looked again to see if they were straight. Hard to tell so I measure the front and back of a tire to the frame and turned the wheel until that was the same. It was a very small tweak to get it right. THEN,, both the tires were the same distance from the frame. I only checked one vehicle but all four tires read the same distance from the frame. |
