Most important thing is to drive it regularly, throughout the year. Exercise keeps the seals working, fuel system not gummed up, etc.

Plus, that's the fun of it!

Regarding a '67 parts manual. It has a maroon cover and is dated December 1967 and is labeled W-1195.

Date is on the first page on the inside and the w-1195 is on the bottom of the front cover.

Best place I've found to look is on ebay. You can generate a query and save it as a favorite. That way you can look at it every day. Eventually one will pop up.

Here is a sample ebay query and setup--

Sort - most recent first
show - 200 items per page
all categories (don't limit to ebay motors, 'cause someone could put it in books)

You can copy and paste the following (query) into the search box on ebay---

parts +(manual,list,catalog,book) +(jeep,willys,willies,cj5,cj6,cj3b,cj-5,cj-6,cj-3b) -(cherokee,crown,dodge,whippet,wrangler,liberty,patriot,mirror,military,crash,ford,chrysler,mopar)

If you choose to type in the above instead of copy/paste, that minus - sign that seems to be dangling at the end of the first line should be immediately in front of the "(cherokee......." For some reason the forum software forces that minus sign to be 'orphaned' at the end of the line.
Once the results are visible you can then select 'add to favorites' and give it whatever name you wish. In the future you can simply select that 'favorite' URL and it will do all the work for you.

The above query was made to be wide enough to include some bad spelling and items listed in various categories, but it has to be narrow enough to exclude items that clearly won't be what you want. The more narrow you make the search the more likely you will exclude something you really want. The above query is a good compromise between breadth and focus.

You can look at this query every day -- and since you sorted it in most recent first you only need to look at the auctions listed since the last time you looked at it.

BTW, if you run this query you'll see a 1965 parts manual for sale right now. It won't have any dual master cylinder parts in it, but it would be very useful

good luck

Note - ebay makes it hard to save a query sometimes ( seems to be erratic). There is a technique to get around their blockade. If you cannot add to favorites try this..

go to any web site (not an ebay site) and add that site to favorites -- save it with whatever name you wish to have for your manual search.

Now, go back to ebay and run the query for manuals shown above.
Once the page shows click on the URL bar and press control C (or right click edit copy)
Then go to favorites and bring cursor down to the web site you created in the first step. DON'T left click on that site, but right click on the name and select properties.

Then when the properties box appears press control V (or right click paste)
Now click OK and the modified query is saved under whatever name you selected.

I don't know if ebay is trying to force people to use their saved query feature or they just have a bug in their software, but this technique works.

ehrawn:

Got my 3B in May. Clearly, I know 1000-plus less than the others who have posted you. Nevertheless, I believe everyone who posts your question should be sent the following:

/Users/greggianas/Desktop/573bmanual

I don't know the document will open on this forum page. If you give me your email, I'll mail it to you. It's a 1957, CJ-3B owner's manual. It contains stuff nearly everyone else on the forum (who regularly posts) already knows, but it's stuff I found helpful.

Greg

P.S. Don't think I've ever seen a more attractive 3B. It's the color I'd choose; same with the originality and color of the wheels.
