I have a chevy motor in by B and I dont seem to be getting the clutch linkage travel I need. I thought in some distant memory that the CJ's with V-6's had torque tubes that were clocked different than the F4's |

Yes infact there are 7 different clutch "lever and tube assemblies" for the various CJ applications. 8-1/2" Rockford clutch control for T90 8-1/2" Auburn type clutch control for T90 9-1/4" Aubrn clutch control for T90 8-1/2" Auburn type clutch control for T98 9-1/4" Auburn clutch control for T98 10.4" diaphram type Borg Beck clutch control for D-225 10.4" three finger type Borg Beck clutch control for D-225 Please identify your clutch diameter, the finger type, the transmission and the clutch manufacturer. Obviously the only ones close to your application are the D-225 clutches. I may have an extra lever and tube assembly that's available. (originally for use with the D-225 engines) |

Learned this the hard way when I had a 8 inch clutch tube in a jeep with a 9 inch clutch. Absolutely could not get the clutch adjusted until I swapped in the correct tube -- after that the clutch adjustment and shifting was like new. |

Still need to know what transmission. T90 ? I suspect you may need to fabricate a custom lever and tube assembly or convert to an Advance Adapter chain roller. I could fabricate one but I would have to see the throw out fork. Also it would be trail and error to get the levers to the correct length. I'll check to see if I have an extra D225 clutch control. |
