I wanted a cold weather grill cover for my J54 to help the diesel engine stay at operating temperature this winter, I saw a picture one time on the internet of one so I decided to make one. This is how it turned out. This is the front with just the chaff guard over the radiator. ![]() I used snaps to hold the grill cover in place, the flaps can be adjusted to allow different air flow. ![]() ![]() this one the flaps are snapped down in the closed position, it looks like zippers but that is just the chaff guard behind the grill cover ![]() I made this out of quilted polyester material Thanks for looking Cliff |

That is one of the things I love about a Jeep, you can just keep putting useful pieces on it! Thanks for the compliments, I liked how it turned out, I wonder if I should put some linseed oil or something on it to water proof it? |

Wow! That that is really nice work & that perforated stainless chaff grill is sweet! You might try spraying Thompson's Water Seal for the quilted polyester material. I've had good results with it on canvas materials. Aloha, Jax
