Jeep died. My battery checks out, needed a boost is all. But there's no charging going on says my dash guage or the friendly folks at Advance Auto. I called the place that rebuilt my generator last year and they need it "on thier bench" to test it. Isn't there a way to determine if its the generator or the voltage regulator withour taking anything off the jeep? My regulator has gotta be 30yrs old so I'm leaning towards that as the culpret.

In the bottom right hand corner (red mark) is a way to test the generator using a 60 watt, 110 volt light bulb. It works. I have done it.
