It was pointed out that these whatever they are are not in the right spot. They look an awlful lot alike the ones in the bed. Second pic show's show pretty sloppily welded plates, are they original?![]() ![]()

The footman loops at the door entry are not correct for any normal useage. The 3 located in the bed are correct for use with an original Willys canvas half cab. |

Yes, remove the footman loops in your doorway and keep them in your parts box (make sure you don't weld close the four holes for your lower hinge bracket). The welded plate is original and is what keeps the front legs of the rear seat secure. There is a drain hole under it (just like what's under your footman loop in the same picture). No, it's not a pretty weld but that's the way it looked on mine. Also, if you get a replacement floor these pieces most likely won't be there. I salvaged mine and had them added - after a lot of discussion with the body shop as additional modifications had to be made to replicate the original set up (notice the raised ridge is depressed and both sides where attached are counter sunk to ensure the plate is flush with the floor). |
