I recently picked up a really nice set of original springs from a 52 m38. They are 14 leaf rear and 13 front. I need to replace mine as the fronts are only 8, the back are 8 also and are sagging, ESP in the front due to the counterweight. Also, I'm installing a newgren lift so ill need a bit more in the back too. Are the springs I got a bit too heavy? I could take a few leaves out. |

Your 8 count leaf springs are not up to standard for a CJ-3B. Standard springs are quite stiff and will handle about 750 pounds of extra payload. Standard front are 10 leaf on all CJ-3B's. Standard rear springs are 9 leaf on all CJ-3B. Both Heavy Duty and Maximum Load Springs were optionally available. Search the underlined terms for more details. |
