I recently purchased a new grille, but I have had to modify it and construct some brackets, in order to bolt it to the radiator. When I test fit the whole assembly, the lower front edge of the radiator seems to be sitting very close to the front chassis cross-member. As this is a non-standard fitment, I'd be interested in seeing a photograph of the standard relationship between the radiator and cross member. Does anyone feel like crawling under there and posting a shot? Thanks, Marty |

I don't have a pic for you but the closest I've seen a Hurricane fan to the radiadtor was on a standard 1964 CJ-5. On that model of jeep the Hurricane fan only clears the radiator by a mere 1". |

Thanks folks for the comments and pics. My main concern was under off road conditions where the frame is twisted. I think I'll drill some more holes and mount the radiator a little higher just in case. Cheers, Marty |

The current clearance between the bottom of my radiator and the front cross member is about 12'-6". It's closer now that I moved the frame to the other side of the garage. <_< |
