Anyone here have any experience on rehabbing one? I was looking at a basket case, they seem like a sweet little rig. A whole lot different than any Jeep except maybe for some OD paint.
Old retired fart living in Ione, WA. I have a 1964 CJ3B. Recently overhauled original motor, transmission and overdrive. 11" Bronco drum brakes on all 4. Needs a new coat of paint but that will have to wait till next summer, it's next summer and I'm working on that now :) UPS & FEDEX will continue to profit :)

I believe they are quite expensive to work on due to some of the oddball things on them. Like the mechanical mule, Mighty Mites have lots of odd and expensive seals.

I wouldn't doubt them being kind of expensive to work on. The market right now for a completely restore one is $ 27K. There's a guy in AZ that has 3 of them and several pallets of spare parts. He hasn't given me any kind of prices yet but I don't expect that he'll be giving them away.

I had a Coot, they were real similar to the Mule except the Coot was amphibious. The Coots weren't very expensive.

They are neat! If you can get a deal, it is worth grabbing. If for no other reason than to flip or part out. More $$$ to spend on the 3B!

I have restored two of them. Some parts very hard to find (steering wheel not cracked, seat backs, early thin windshield frame, many engine parts) and other parts are plentiful. It’s all a matter of what you want and what you are willing to put in it.

I'd like to find one like that about 2000 miles closer to home. I wonder what the final price on it will be?
