Where is the stuff from? After six years I am not able to remember where to mount it.

That is a capture nut (at least that's what I call it). The capture part is welded to the body to keep the nut in place, usually in a hard to reach location. It looks like the sheet metal was cut out around the part to keep it intact.

That item is used in several places on the body.

Tell me the thread size and I'll try to look it up in the parts manual.

Most of those captured nuts are on the fenders/grill. If you still have the original sheet metal, there are going to be two places where those pieces are broken off. If you have a wire feed welder that would be the best way to put them back in place.

probably a 5/16-18 could be for the drivers seat frame did you put new floor boards in?

I have one that looks very similar that is for the top bolt where the fender bolts to the tub.
1963 CJ3B - F134 Hurricane, T-90C, D-18, 5.38s, Overdrive, 938YF, 12V alternator

The nuts are 5/16-18, I have not replaced the floor board. Remember the captured parts were locked somewhere. Maybe the fenders to the tube.

This is what I remember when I took my fenders off.
