Most certainly its a military repop as Larry already indicated. No. Normally a civilian 3B only has the serial plate number and the stamped engine number. Perhaps 1950 was a guess made by the owner of the original title. Perhaps the the jeep prior to rebuild included 27298 in the original number. Not likely because brass military plates would have been attached to the original dash panel. Yes lots of things. We already know the tub is not original. so further body pics will not identify. A pic of the brake / clutch pedal pivot bracket (where it attaches to the frame) will determine if this is a military or a civilian frame. A RH and a LH pic of the engine will be useful. A pic of the shackles may be useful. The number of front and rear spring leafs may be useful. The more pics provided .... the more that can be identified...... |

Well, you've got sort of a mystery to try to figure out. Take all the time you want to do so. Most likely, it is a bit of a mixture of several years and features.
