Hello All, Does anyone have any opinions on the currently available aftermarket wiring harnesses?? Walck's and Vintage Wiring of Maine are two that I have heard of, but have not used. Excluding OMIX-ADA and homemade products, do any of you have any recommendations/comments (good or bad) for the currently available wiring harnesses on the market? Thanks in advance for your help, Sam Michael Jr, Jax, FL |

I got mine from Carl walck and it has been great. I think it's been in there since 2000 or so with no issues at all. |

I have a OMIX harness on my 3b - it fit and works fine. And, it came in a Walck box - from OMIX! |

I got mine from walcks also and only just installed it this year . instructions are ok you just have to match the number of wires to the diagram and install your own fuse panel or inline fuses. I also installed a 1 wire alt. so I did not use the generator harness or the volt reg. and I had to remove the headlite plug to get the three wires through the head lite bucket grommet and reattach the plug. Overall I am happy with the way it turned out. Steve |

Thanks for the replies - I was curious about the fuses, or lack thereof, on the new harness. Sounds like converting to a 1-wire GM alternator isn't a big deal. Interesting about Walck's products sold through OMIX,too. I appreciate Y'alls help - All the best, Sam Michael Jr, Jax, FL |

I have a Vintage Wiring of Maine harness. I requested custom additions to accommodate the turn signal, back up light, trailer and heater. I also got a harness for the Bantam trailer. They are exceptionally nice looking. The directions are detailed. Everything seems to be attached to the harness that will be needed and terminals all seem correct. My assumption is that this will be one of the least frustrating elements of the rebuild. |
