Need/Want more power from the brake pedal? This Master Cylinder does not require a vacuum booster and fits under the floor. http://www.ecihotrodbrakes.com/ I still can't find 9X2 4-lug drums yet. I know there is a 'sleeve' made for motor cycle brake drums, but they don't do car brakes. Does anyone know of a source that makes car brake-drum-sleeves (like cylinder block sleeves, only biger)? |

I can't answer your question but 11 inch brakes on the front or disc's will give you lots of brakes compared to original. How much is that system? |
Old retired fart living in Ione, WA. I have a 1964 CJ3B. Recently overhauled original motor, transmission and overdrive. 11" Bronco drum brakes on all 4. Needs a new coat of paint but that will have to wait till next summer, it's next summer and I'm working on that now UPS & FEDEX will continue to profit

I have a feeling that the stock drums are going to be the Achilles heel of any DJ restoration...along with the rear axle. I have not researched it yet but I would try looking for other drums in 5 lug patterns and having them redrilled for four lug. Perhaps BA may have the list of what other vehicles drums might work...if any. |
