Has anybody made a unusual vacuum wiper reservoir? I was thinking about using an old fire extinguisher. |
Old retired fart living in Ione, WA. I have a 1964 CJ3B. Recently overhauled original motor, transmission and overdrive. 11" Bronco drum brakes on all 4. Needs a new coat of paint but that will have to wait till next summer, it's next summer and I'm working on that now UPS & FEDEX will continue to profit

Or a power brake vac canister w/ its ck valve already on it. Just plate off the master cyl hole. The hardest part is finding a mounting location. Any of those systems cause erratic fuel mixtures especially while idling. Emission readings are very unsteady. Depends the amount of rainy driving you plan. Electric is a steady speed swipe and From my experience a lot safer when climbing a long hill and having to spend a few seconds at a time w/o any vision running vac wiper/s. David |

if any of the stories i have heard are true, than large soup cans/ juicy juice cans work good. i have never done it myself but it sounds good, even some of the factory ford vac canisters looked like a soup can. most all the new ones are plastic and would really taint the looks under a 3b. |

Motiv8 mentioned a check valve, is that necessary for a wiper reservoir? Can anyone verify a better operation with a reservoir? |

The check valve is needed to keep the vacuum created be the eng. The vac would be lost w/o that valve. David |
