i remember a lot off thrust plates being made of a sintered iron not bronze. i worked in an engine machine shop and we bilt a lot of old engines continetal ,flat head fords ,ect. dont know on the f head cause i just dont remember the 60s that well |

My original motor that had the cracked block and the donor motor from the 62 m38a1 both had steel plates, so I dunno. Gary |
