Couple days left on an auction a guy has in Hamilton OH. He has DJ F&R axles looks like maybe 1 or 2 T 96 trans, DJ F&R springs, speedo, 4 lug wheels, starters/gensets, eng block and lots of other CJ parts. also has a set of Surrey hubcaps sitting there in pics but they are not part of his auction, but they are for sell. I ask him to confirm the trans model & sn on eng block but haven't heard back. Thought maybe someone closer might snag some good parts.

Harry Sheets quoted me $65 apiece for those wheels, so that is $260 right there. The axle if in good condition and functional is well worth the $240 to someone who needs one.. All the rest is gravy. That said, I am not planning on bidding unless nobody else does as I have other bills to pay. We have been on a run that goes by that area but.. I have a full truck right now and no more room.

Did you get a reply on the hubcap price and engine number, BA?

he wanted a buck & a half, for the caps, but he didn't send any pics or reply to my questions, I wanted to see if the block & trannys were DJ also, they sure look like it..... trannys anyway, I couldn't see a dip stick to tell if maybe it was the DJ 3J##### eng block or other. Good deal for a guy with DJ/CJ projects.

Note to anyone considering bidding.. There are only TWO wheels and tires included. THe seller did reply to my question about them, but he did not know what the other parts weer I asked about.

Can anyone tell me what the steering gear is I see towards the bottom of the one picture? I Am thinking FC stuff, which the tranny may also be??

there are two suspension links there as well that don't look like DJ stuff at all.

While talking parts available, FYI... I just received an e-mail from a guy in California that has two Dj front axle assembles available. One is spindle to spindle, while the other is drum to drum complete, neither with springs. No prices indicated.

Papac, If I were you, I would contact the seller and give him your contact info and request to pass on in case the bulk-buyer doesn't need the rear end and may make arrangements with you after the purchase. Just a thought.

Well, I sucked it up and sent him my contact information and asked a couple of questions. I'd hate to try to get all of that stuff cause I'd probably be too much of a hoarder and that stuff would lay around here forever just like the old z28 that's sitting out in my pasture rusting with the motor blowed up!

Almost ahem 'maybe' gonna make a deal for the rear end and uh' ahem' maybe a couple other parts. He's going to talk to the owner Monday. 'Somehow' I feel this 'might' work out. It seems I've been pretty lucky finding everything else soooo, I'm crossing my fingers.

Thanks ba for the heads up and Steve for insisting that I contact them.

Remember to remind him nobody even bid on the whole pile for $500...And see if you can snag those hubcaps while you are at it. The parts seem like something that could be shipped the Fastenal route easily.

Will do and 'supposedly' made a deal on the hubcaps already, even though by Saturday I'll have a set of hubcaps anyway. Too good a deal to pass up, especially being five of them. Still waiting to hear back.

Never heard back from the seller after I said I wanted the hubcaps and asked to check on the tires and rearend. I don't know if something's wrong there or what's happened.

Wow. I almost wasn't through making that last post when the seller responded!!!

So, the deal for the hubcaps is on! I still don't know about the tires, rearend, and springs but I made a actual offer on them and will just have to wait and see.

A deal for the lot, including the hubcaps, has been made and accepted. Soooo, it looks like I'm going to be going to Ohio!
