My jeep came fitted with an after market alternator that had gone bad. I bought a replacement alternator, but can't work out how to wire it up, so my project has stalled (just when I have a whole weekend free). See attached the rear end of the alternator and the wiring diagram that came with my new wiring harness from Kaiser Willys. The harness is designed to suit a jeep with a generator and regulator and I'm not sure what wiring mods need to be made to accommodate an alternator. In case you haven't yet guessed, I am a complete noob when it come to auto wiring. Any help appreciated.![]()

Did a regulator come with the alternator? Is there any other printing on the alternator? |
