I may be a Little off topic but still within the confines of the forum, so here goes. I am looking for the proper size and thread pitch for the axle bearing retainer nuts. This is for a M100 trailer that used the Willys hubs. Seems the previous owner Any before anyone suggests the military 406 site, had a look. |

All the Jeep parts places sell them. Usually in a kit with the washers. http://walcks4wd.com/spindle-nut-and-washer-kit-2-n.html |

Yes, Ian the hubs (as you pointed out) are the same as Willys hubs. Assemble the same way as on your jeep. Recommend using the same socket for your jeep's spindle nuts. Note: as suggested by vernco.com, pre-bend the outer (in between) washer just a bit to make the locking bend a bit easier. It is tight up inside the hub. I also have seen that damage when I looked inside my trailer hubs too. http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/12131_topic25356.html |

Now I may be a fool , But as for these nuts should I be looking for the front or rear axle D44 retainer nuts. Should I stick within the confines of the 3b on Walcks site? Really want to get this trailer rolling right into storage and need these nuts. |

The spindle nuts / washers will be the same as all D25 or D27 front axle spindles. However the hub bearings and seals will only mate to D25 and not the same as D27 axles. |

Thanks Oldtime! better to order right than wrong especially with international shipping! BTW, Does any know of a comparable nut that would be used on a fairly modern vehicle? Just a thought as maybe the local salvage yards are another possibility for these nuts. |

Post a WTB on the forum. Surely someone has a couple extra spindle nuts. I may have some. I'll try to remember to take a look. |
