I bought a Spen trailer in Alaska before we moved back down here to Wyoming and it is missing the original style hitch coupler, in fact it's missing a coupler altogether. I need to find one for it. Most hitch couplers these days are for a single tube tongue and I'd like to get one that matches the original as much as possible, but need one that is more for an a-frame tongue. can't seem to find a source. Any ideas? Scroll through these six forum pages to get a good gander on what I'm looking for. http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/spen-tra...7239_page1.html Thanks! |

Dave, I'm thinking that the A frame on a Spen 1/4 ton jeep trailer is the same (or close enough) that it will accept the identical casting as those produced for the WWII MBT and Korean War trailers M100, and if so, MD Juan now reproduces the Lunette eye and the receiver casting, as well as the landing leg and casting. I've heard rumors that Juan is also now reproducing the ball coupler and casting for the Bantam civilian trailers, but cannot confirm that. If you Google MD Juan, you can view their US vendors. and contact them for what is and isn't available. Hope this info helps you. |

Thanks Bob. I'll keep that in mind as I play with this trailer. |
